The Holidays can be very expensive. However, with good planning and preparation, you can buy the gifts and décor that you need and want without going into debt or overspending.  The first step to take is to write down all of the things you need to buy

and put a price limit on each category. Here are some categories that you may put on your list:

  • Gifts: Provide a price limit as well as break down your spending per person and make sure to include shipping prices for your loved ones in other locations

  • Parties:  Provide a price limit per party and break down your spending for food, décor, and games.

  • Travel:  Provide a price limit and estimate gas or flight prices, hotel rooms, emergency money, and snack for the trip.

  • Cards:  Provide a price limit and estimate card and shipping costs

  • Wrapping: Provide a price limit for wrapping paper, name tags, tape, scissors, ribbon, etc.

  • Food: The best part of the holidays is eating.  Make sure to provide a healthy price limit for food, including appetizers, main dishes, sides, drinks, desserts, etc.
